Lá Idirnáisiúnta/ International Day

B'iontach an ocáid í Lá Idirnaisiúnta i nGaelscoil Phortlaoise i mbliana. Bhí tuismitheoirí agus páistí ag glacadh páirt ann ón bPólainn, ón tSín, an Ind, Afraic Theas, Ecuador, Zimbabwe, Dubai, Sasana, Na Filipín, Na Stáit Aontaithe, an Astráil agus An Ghána. Bhí daoine ann ó gach Mór Roinn ar domhan.

D'fhoghlaíomar alán fé chultúr, traidisiún agus bia na tíortha seo ar fad. Cuireadh an-obair isteach ag na tuismitheoirí agus na páistí a ghlac páirt ann. Ár mbuíochas le Múinteoir Rita don obair ar fad a chuir sí isteach ann.

International Day was a huge success this year. We had representatives from as far away as Ecuador, South Africa, Ghana, Dubai, the United States, Zimbabwe, India, China, the Philippines, Australia, England, Poland and of course our own native Ireland. All the worlds continents were represented. We learned a lot about the cultures, traditions and food from the various countries. There was a huge volume of work involved and credit to all the parents and children who participated. Many thanks to Múinteoir Rita for all her efforts in planning this very worthwhile project.
